STAKEHOLDERS AND SPONSORS
In the spring of 2014, ChiS&E was honored to be awarded a $450,000 grant from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation (WKKF) for its work in developing and implementing transformative family engagement programs in the field of early childhood education. ChiS&E was one of only 30 organizations out of a pool of 1130 applicants, nation-wide, to be so honored, and one of only two organizations funded in the state of Illinois. The grant is distributed over a three-year period.
In addition to Kellogg, ChiS&E is indebted to those institutions that support the vision of the organization. Over the last seven years, donors have included The Chicago Community Trust, the National Science Foundation, the Chicago Public Schools, Albert Pick, Jr. Fund, Chase Bank, The Private Bank, Circle of Service Foundation, Colonel McNeil Foundation, Lloyd A. Fry Foundation and American Honda Foundation. ChiS&E also benefited from in-kind contributions from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago State University, Mercy Hospital & Medical Center, and the University of Chicago.
