CLASS OFFERINGS

The Chicago Pre-College Science and Engineering Program (ChiS&E) provides a pathway for your child to a career in science or engineering, and you are essential in making that happen! In partnership with Chicago Public Schools (CPS), the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), the University of Chicago (U of C), and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Colleges of Education, Engineering, and Department of Mathematics, ChiS&E offers fun, hands-on learning activities on Saturday for students in grades K – 12.

Kindergarten

Little Civil Engineer (+Algebra Concepts)

Note:

  • Summer Rising 7th, 8th, 9th (4 Week Summer Enrichment Program – Algebra, Engineering, & Raspberry Pi)
  • Summer Rising 9th & 10th (2 Week Summer Algebra Boot Camp) University of Notre Dame

There will be 8 Saturday sessions for the following grades above (exception of 6th). Each session will be a total of 3 hours.

*For grades K – 5, parents must be present with children at each session.*

What’s unique about ChiS&E?

All Courses are Free! A parent must participate in Saturday sessions with each child in grades K – 5 and parents must attend special field trips and student showcase events.

Builds science, engineering, and math knowledge through grade levels K – 12

Works with families to prepare students to succeed in undergraduate engineering and science programs in top universities

Introduces and develops pre-algebra skills in early grades

Engages and empowers parents as valued partners in their children’s education
